Amethyst Hornblower

A member of the famous Leaf-growing Hornblower family, and perhaps even a descendant of Tobold Hornblower himself. Amethyst was born about two hundred years after Tobold's time so, if she was descended from him, she would have been Old Toby's granddaughter, or perhaps great-granddaughter.

Amethyst married Rudibert Bolger, and they had one son, Adalbert. She had few direct connections to the important characters of the later Third Age, though her grandson Filibert joined a minor branch of the Baggins family when he married Poppy Chubb-Baggins. Through her husband's elder brother Rudigar, Amethyst was the great-great-aunt of both Fredegar and Estella Bolger (after the War of the Ring, Estella would marry Meriadoc Brandybuck).
