Lord of the Coasts

First of the four Ship-kings

Tarannon of Gondor was Captain of the Hosts during the reign of his father, King Siriondil. Famed for his expansion of Gondor's navies, he extended the power of the South-kingdom far along the coasts westward and southward of Ethir Anduin, winning many victories. When Tarannon came to the throne he took the name Falastur, signifying 'Lord of the Coasts', to commemorate his achievements, and established a line of 'Ship-kings' that lasted for four generations.
